How-to guides

Have a song written from your story

Understand what to prepare, what an AI song service does and what to review before choosing a custom song gift.

If you want someone to turn your story into a song, first decide how much writing help you need. TailorMySong provides an editable starter template and Suno V6 music generation; it does not currently provide a human songwriter or a separate AI lyric-writing service. You approve the words before requesting the recording. If you already have a complete lyric, use the lyrics-first path.

The steps, with room to review.

01

Prepare a brief someone else could understand

Give a name, relationship, occasion, one story and a clear message. Separate facts from wishes. Explain an inside joke rather than expecting a generator to know what it means. State which details should stay out of the song.

02

Check the service you are actually choosing

A human songwriting commission and an AI recording tool provide different kinds of help. Here, story-to-lyrics uses a local template, lyrics are editable, and the music is generated. Voice, arrangement and completion time are not guaranteed. There is no human revision package or instant-delivery promise.

03

Review the result before keeping it

Read the whole lyric and choose a sound that fits the recipient. Confirm generation only once and follow its task status. An eligible first generation includes short previews before payment; later songs use purchased places. Full playback, audio and lyric downloads, and gift controls require verified payment.

An illustrative writing example

A little detail. A lyric direction.

For Ren. Written to explain the process; not a customer testimonial or a recorded audio sample.

The story to bring

For Ren’s graduation, I want a song about the evenings we studied at the kitchen table and the way they always helped others understand.

A line to build on

At the kitchen table, one more page to turn, you made a little room for everyone to learn.

Before you continue

Does a song package include a human songwriter and revisions?

Your package includes the song places shown on the pricing page, full playback, downloads, commercial use and a gift page. Each new place covers one successful generation. A human songwriter and unlimited revisions are not included.

For a timed event, leave time to review the lyric and recording before giving the song. Processing times vary. If you need a human songwriter or an exact delivery deadline, agree those requirements with a service that provides them.
